I have found two possible solutions to putting in a new single DIN head unit, and wonder if anyone has used either of these:

The incartec looks right, but is L119 plus plus, ouch.

I'm going to an installer to do the wiring to maintain the steering wheel radio controls, expect there will also be a harness purchase too.

I've read the extensive posting re the 99 radio, but the 03 is evidently different. Crutchfield doesn't stock anything for my year.

Thoughts anyone? Thanks.

 

I have the nexxia unit going into my 2000 - I like it - going to install a pioneer as soon as my other work is done. I slid it into place, looks like a decent fit. Let me know what you work out with the harnesses - I bought the ISO plug, but have not dove into all that wiring yet ....

 

I can't imagine the piece in that Nexxia link you posted actually working (1) it is for an x-type and (2) it doesn't look anything like what you need...

However the other piece looks like the 1997 fascia that you need. See if you can find that piece on eBay using part number LJA6318AB... it is from an earlier 1997 xk8 and then you purchase an adapter from Nexxia as well (BTW, the radio fascias are the same from late 1997 thru 2006 ---- your 2003 shouldn't be any different). I called Jaguar Heaven in California and they had one for me... maybe give them a try.

Sorry to change the subject, but I also have a 2000 conv. My wheels are the same as yours. Do you know the name of these wheels?

 

@CatLovr - digging thru my records to find the number - I ordered it directly from the UK. I'll find it.

 

It's buried, gents, but I'll keep looking for receipts, took forever to get delivered... - I bought it back when H20Boy did a writeup - was a fascia for another model, and moved the switches to another panel - something like that. The only part that bugs me, is that with the Pioneer unit I installed, it hits the edge when the front flips open - so, probably time to find or modify this one to give me 1/3 more inch clearance along the bottom edge.
