2003 Xk8 Gearbox Fault
I have had the car to two independent shops - neither can fix - figure out - the fault. One suggested a flush but cant do it and the JAG dealers where i live ( Pinellas County FL ) wont do it.
Any advice?

I'd go further than Jon and say that for a proper Gearbox Fault, you need to get the diagnostics codes. You will need a Jaguar/Land Rover scan tool (generic OBDII will not be enough) to pull the codes before turning the engine off. I have a Foxwell scan tool. Others have the iCarSoft. There are of course many options, some well under $200. Check eBay or Amazon.
FWIW, our gearbox is pretty common (6HP26 by ZF). It is far from rare or unique. Any shop that does not start by scanning for codes is not serious about helping you.

Thank you. These are useful observations and suggestions. The one shop pulled up the 2004 transmission recall and then referred me to a transmission shop. I did the vin search and know it was completed.
I believe I have found a place that I can take it to. It was disheartening that the local dealerships wouldnt even look at it.
The car has been babied with only 62K on it and in beautiful condition otherwise so I'd like to keep her on the road for a bit.
Again appreciate your response and will be picking up one of the scan tools you suggest.
