40 amp top fuse blowing RESOLVED
I wanted to close this thread as my problem has been resolved.
The culprit was the rear bearing inside de motor was stuck causing resistance and the blowing of the fuse.
It is now back on the pump and works fine.
The car had suffered the green shower which had not been resolved. I replaced the latch and hoses with a set donated by a 1998 xk8.
Moderator please mark resolved.

I'm glad your top is operational again. I think it's important part of these amazing cars.
The plain bearing in my motor appeared to be completely dry, but with no sign of distress. I put a small dab of Lubriplate grease on the shaft anyway when I put the motor back together.
