Default 5HP24 yet again!

Ok guys and girls out there,,
I have replaced my old 128K clonking gearbox(MY August 2000 thats what it said on it's filter!) With a much newer 53K miles gearbox..It is smoother quieter etc,,BUT
Yes it clonks ..argh... I even had the transgo valve fitted, as it was quite low mileage..all new Life Guard 5, filter etc. ..ARGH..
So questions are:..
1. Being based in Great Malvern Worcestershire, does anyone know a trusted Jag gearbox person who could fit a new valve block? I have read about someone called "DesignXKR" based in Bristol, no website? Can't find them...
2.Where is the best place to get said Valve block..
3. Has there been any reports of the ECU causing this problem which at 25 years amd 128K miles I suppose is possible, as 2 out of 2 is a bummer!!
Nursing the old girl along at times, is rather tedious having to be so careful every time I slow down...

Answers on a post card please .

I believe the company you are looking for is actually called Bristol Transmissions
Do not look for the other company you mentioned EVER !!! I have had dire dealings with them in the past !

Just on rapid de-accleration and re footing it mainly, as I generally give the box time to think!

A bit of an 'out there' suggestion, but have you checked that your wheel nuts are all tight? I've experienced something similar, and it was a loose wheel.

Hi sadly not that but good suggestion

99% certain it is the aformentioned cracked ZF Valve block issue!

When you say "clonk" do you mean the trans slips a lot on takeoff, then gives a mighty BAM and goes into gear? If so, then yes, it's likely a cracked valve body upper block.
