Default 97 Headlight moisture

My 97 XK8 drivers head light has moisture in it ALL the time. Looks like a damn rain forest in there. Any fix for this short of buying a new unit?

I have a 98 and my husband just open them, they are easy to open and let them air out for a while. That seemed to help me for now.

It is a customer interest 417-05 for 1997 – 2004 and it addresses the buildup of condensation in the headlamp assembly. They talk about drilling a 9mm hole in the lamp and install a “T” vent pipe.
If I were to do this I would go to Jag and get a copy of the procedure and see if they have the “T” pipe. Looking at where the hole is to be drilled, moisture may accumulate in that area without the fitting…
Good Luck!

For nowI am popping off the access cap to let it vent and dry out.

I simply leave the clear lid partially open...just not snapped down entirely and it vents just enough to prevent condensation.

04 xk8 coupe driver's side headlight out
Got the moisture out. low beam bulb out. Fuse #8 blown. Replaced fuse; light worked, then fuse blew again. Tried the bulb & igniter on pass side & they are ok. Main light housing plug is clean.
Any tips on what's blowing the fuse? Probably a short from the water which was 1/2 inch deep behind the lens before drying.
Also having panel light issues that may or may not be related.
Thanks
