Cool 97 seat module

I am still on a search for a pass seat module. The driver seat has the same part # and I switched them to diagnose the problem. Will the circuit board of of a module from a98-03 xj or xk work. They have the same wiring connection plugs, but a different style of mounting bracket.

What are the symtoms of your bad seat module? There is a common fault that can be repaired with a little soldering skill if you search the forum.

everything is not functioning. the circuit board looks fine without any breaks. Not sure why it went bad, I was just informed about it when I bought the car. I looked through all the repair orders on the car and the local dealer had pulled the seat out and replaced the switches back in 2001 in the same seat. Sometime after that an independent repair garage replaced a bolt that fell out of the seat. Makes you wonder about the competency of the local Jag shop. There were other things that were warrantied at the dealership along with the exhaust tailpipe being loose, which explains why the tailpipes are all crooked and misaligned.
