Default '97 XK8 Conv Configurable Settings?

1 ) Does anyone have a list of configurablesettings? Like...
Mph/Kph and related metric settings?
Remote Lock/unlock confirmation - (Lights -Tone - lights & Tone - none)
Others?

2) If there are changeable settings, are they dealer only items or is there some
special combination of buttons thatlaunch a programming mode?

There's a list of dealer-configurable settings in the first column of the document attached to this post by u102768:

You can change the Trip Computer setting from MPH to KPH using the ml-km button on the Switchpack. If you hold this button and turen the ignition to position II, you can see the current language setting. Repeatedly pressing the ml-km button will scroll through and select from the available languages. You can't change the Instrument Pack by configuration.

The security and locking module settings are a combination of market specific (e.g. some markets do not permit audible tones) and dealer configurable. However, there is little more than passive arming and tilt protection sensing that can be changed on the early XK8/XKR.

That list is intriguing. Would love to enable Driver Window Auto Up. Can such programming be done at home?

Windows Up - discussed many times can not be changed. Speculation centers on safety reasons for lack of that option.

Yep. I can confirm that. I have the programming software on my laptop and I selected 'autoup' and basically it didn't!

However it did help with the reversing mirror. Have you ever tried to tilt your passenger side mirror when your reversing?

The elf strikes again
I'd like that option too - mrs' X5 has it. BMW must be less PC...
