Default ABS/ASC/TRAC Not Avail. Warning Lights - Help!

2001 XKR "Silverstone" Coupe.....

Been getting the above warning lights (intermittently), after car is warm. This only happens when I'm out and about, with stops for errands, etc. Every 2nd/3rd stop/start, lights will appear. Disappear the next time I start from cold - overnight. Even though dealership has been informed, nothing found to resolve problem - which is REALLY annoying! FYI, this car is only driven 1-2 times per week - sometimes less (1-2 per month). Any thoughts/advice? Many thanks!

Ok, I'll be the first one. Get the battery and charging system checked at a Autozone or Advance for free.
Low battery can give you this, or a broken wire on the ABS speed sensors. That's the simple answer, it gets complicated for there.

Could be a bad solder joint on the ABS Module connector causing it. This is a fairly common problem.

Many folks here will agree on this one also, DRIVE THE CAR MORE. These cars do not like to sit around, really.

The wheel sensors also like to get dirty and cause the light to come on. Easy fix as well. Just clean the sensor heads.

While you're in there you can check the wiring leads as suggested above.

+1 from me on checking the battery.

Do you know how old the battery is, is it the original perhaps?
If so it could be on its way out, these cars are very sensitive to weak / failing batteries as already posted.

Plus 1 on driving it more, if / when you can

Both my XJ8s exhibit the ABS/ASC/TRAC Not Avail fault after the car has been sitting for more than a few days and the battery is slightly low. If I drive the car every few days I will not get the fault. My batteries are both about a year old but I know what the fault is and I deal with it.

I have too many cars and I don't drive all of them all that often.

Read the DTCs in the ABS module and see if you have the C1095 fault.
