Default ABS hub nut

Breaking the ABS rotor nut loose
Thanks to forum- I soaked the hub nut in PB blaster for 24 hours. I put the rotor next to the wheel. Used the wheel lug nuts to bolt the hub to the wheel. Flipped wheel down, hub up. Hit it with a 2" 12 point socket with an impact wrench. Presto! No vise, no special rotor nut.
Now, it's off to the auto hobby shop for pressing.

Thanks!

I'm not going to pick a fight with anyone who can grasp an impact wrench to undo a hub nut torqued at 270-330 Nm.

That appears to be a STRONG Craftsman Impact! Is it a 1/2" drive with adapter for larger drive socket? How does a 12 pt. 2" socket grip that reluctor wheel (Ring)? I thought the reluctor wheel had a special tool to fit the holes. It good news to know that a 12pt. socket will also do the job.

It's just a made in China 3/4" drive 12 point socket. I used the half by 3/4 adapter and persistence paid off. The socket gripped really well. The craftsmen impact is new, unfortunately the lock ring on the tip is toast. Sure worked great this go round. I pressed out the hub and bearing today at a local auto hobby shop. Cost $10 for general shop fees. Of course I cross threaded the tie rod nut/stud going back together, but I had a new spare from when I had the XJS. I ordered new pads and rotors as these were nearly at minimums. New bearing sure feels nice.
