Greetings, Two unrelated problems I need help with.on my 1997 XK8 58k miles

#1 Awhile back my abs light and stability control message showed up and I sent the abs module off for repair and replaced all 4 wheel sensors. side note the alternator was replaced at the same time. At this point the car runs and drives fine but the abs light and stability message are still on and now the airbag light is on. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

#2 The car has developed a strange thumping sound that I would have bet was a loose exhaust pipe but after getting the car on a lift the exhaust pipes are perfect and I couldn't find anything loose under the car or in the trunk. As I'm typing this I just realized I did not check the spare tire compartment. Any thoughts again would be appreciated

 

Could it be the center bearing or drive shaft U joints?

 

To me it does not seem to be drive train related, it is very random and erratic sort of muffled not metal on metal.

 

You might want to check the sway bar bushings.

 

Getting the actual DTCs from the ABS module is going to get you info for repair probably cheaper than 'throwing parts' at the problem?
