ABS Light / Wheel Speed Sensor

ABS Light / Wheel Speed Sensor
Hi
My car has failed MOT due to wheel speed sensor / abs light on.
I have had the speed sensor replaced but the error keeps coming back on.
Now whats strange is the abs light only comes on when turning the steering wheel full lock to the left ? even if the car is stationary and wheels haven't moved.
Is there a component in the steering linked to the speed sensor which could trigger this warning light without even driving ?

Likely the harness to one of the front sensors. It has been reported as no-longer-available from Jaguar, but it can normally be fixed. Check the rubber boot at the sensor end for signs of wear or exposure to the elements. Worst case if a repair is not workable, look up the part# and find a used one. It is likely the same part on more than one model.
The fact that you can reproduce the problem on demand should be of great help in testing the fix.
It would be better if you posted the details about your car. The early cars typically need the ABS module itself either rebuilt by a pro, or re-soldered at home for minimum expense. This is more in case of random errors as the failure involves the supply of power to the main board.
Best of luck, keep us posted.

SNG Barratt still shows the harness
Not knowing the model year makes it a bit difficult but for the 1999-02 the part # is LJD3410AA, for 1996-99 the part# is LJD3410AD, and for 2002-06 the part# is split between 2 harnesses with one for each side. To make those years even more difficult it depends on the serial numbers as there are 2 different numbers for each side.
The above are all for NON-U.S. or Canadian cars.
