Default ABS Module

I have bought a used ABS asy for my 1998 XK8. The thing has 5 Brake Lines connections, and my old one has 6. The new used one is Module JLM2210BD. My old one doesn't have a tag on it. Would the two Modules interchange with each other?

Go to this site, and look up your make.year and model. It gives a good description of the part numbers and their relationships. If you car has 6 brake lines, I think you will probably need module LNC2210AD .

Based on my own problems and research over the last few days, I believe you have Traction Control ( 6 brake lines). The module/pump with 5 brake lines is for a non-traction control system. The 6 brake line module has 9 valve connections. The 5 brake line module only has 6 valve connections, so they are not interchangeable.

You need a JLM20556 for the 1998 XJ8 with 6 pipes (9 valves)

I don't know what the numbers on the modules are but they are NOT the proper Jaguar part number.

Default Always better to repair what you have

Hate to rub it in, when you’re already out of pocket.

Sellers always say it’ll fit your car.... then you find the new part doesn’t....Grrrr! Waste of time, effort and money.

In my experience on this car, it’s better to find someone who can repair what you have (if possible). Unfortunately the car will be “off the road” during the repair, but at least you’ll know it’ll fit.

The website I posted in my above post does ABS module repairs. There are others out there as well. You can remove the ABS module and should still be able to drive the car- no different than driving with a failed module ( at least others have posted that it can be done).

Default Just replaced on my 98 XK8

I just replaced the abs module on my 98 XK8 only 3 days ago.
It was the LNC2210AD.
Got it off eBay for $260.
Worked like a charm.
Additional $100 core charge, that they refunded.
Mine is 6 lines.
See pic for eBay ad.
Hope this helps
