Default ABS Module Repairs

Has anyone used the company MYAIRBAGS to have the module repairs done? Their add on the forum lists an $89 charge for the work. I have read the threads on soldering the circuit board, and it seems simple, but I might be better off leaving it to the specialists.

I used a local company that if I recall correctly advertises on ebay, and I believe it was $45.00. Can't remember the name but it was in Reseda, CA.

I sent my unit out yesterday to a company in Van Nuys for the $45 fix. Did your ABS light and messages disappear right away after you installed the repaired unit. I have the car in storage status for the winter, so I will not be driving it until next April.

Default Repaired Module

I am putting my repaired module back in today. However, my Jag has been put away for the winter with no road insurance. Will the ABS lights go out upon start-up, or does it usually take a few miles to see if the fix worked? I can let it run in the driveway for a while if that would suffice to clear the system.

The yellow abs icon will probably still be lit no matter what. But if all is well, there will be no message such as "abs/trac not available".

Good luck to you, sir.

After I did the ABS module fix myself (as well as cleaning the speed sensors), the messages and lights immediately went out; a week later, back on; A few days later, back out. They continue to come and go, and it's been a couple of months since the two fixes.
