Default AC Compressor +

If anyone is in need of AC compressor + parts - just ordered this kit for the Mistress for $312. The last time I looked - prices for a new compressor were over $1100. I did check SNG again this morning and they do have one priced at $550.

Great info indeed. Will you do your own refurbishment or will you take it to an A/C shop?

Jon - I'm having the indie do the install - he has all the equipment to evacuate & recharge. He quoted $700 to complete the job which includes replacing 2 hoses that are bad. His original quote, with him getting all the parts was $2500, which led me on my search.

I purchased a new Denso compressor (#4711358) in January for $US182 from Rock Auto. A new receiver drier was an additional $US13.

Cheers,

Stu

Thanks Stu - didn't see them come up when I searched the PN. Looks like the same kit I ordered through Rock Auto is $279.

One of Murphy's Laws states, "No matter how long or how hard you shop for an item, once you buy it, you will find it cheaper someplace else"!
