Default Aftermarket Coil packs for a 2000 XKR

Has anyone used any aftermarket coils on their XKR with success ?
I have a 2000 XKR with approximately 83,000 miles on it. Over the past couple of years I have replaced (2) coils with factory Denso coils (at $100.00 each) and they have been fine. This past weekend I got a code showing a different coil pack issue.
I would like to replace all of the coil packs and keep the two Denso units for backup.
I appreciate all feedback.

I installed a set of these in my 2000 XKR last March. Ignition Coils on Plug Pack for 1996 2003 Jaguar Vanden Plas XJ8 XJR UF415 8pcs | eBay

I think I paid a little more than the asking price of $95.00 for a set of eight. They're doing their job just fine, so far. Quite a bargain so long as they continue to work properly.

I did the same $100 set of 8 coils for my XKR around April of this year and they're all good. Nowhere near all of mine were bad so I keep the good ones around as parts, but these seem a ok. My A8 has $15 each coils going on 5 years and they're great.

I got a couple of the no-name ebay coils, one to use and one for a spare. The installed one seems to work fine and looks the same as the others. Make sure you know whether you need two wire or four wire coils before you order them.

Appreciate your feed back 80s Rule and Don-T.
I think I am going to give them a try and keep my (2) new ones from the dealership as spares.

on my 03 xk8 should I get PRO ACTIVE and replace mine at 106k on them? No issues but should I do some preventive replacing of these and plugs/wires?

Vince,
It is my understanding that sometime in the year 2000 was the cut off date between the AJ26 2 pin style and the AJ27 4 pin style coils.
My car has the 4 pin style coils.
Are the coils that you ordered from Selected Auto Parts the 2 pin or 4 pin style?
Thanks....

arush,

My 2000 XKR uses the 4 pin style coils. I hope this helps.
