Default air bag code 18
replaced airbags in 02xk8 now have an airbag flash code 18 any ideas on what this code is for and any fixes

To be sure of using the right technical info, you need to say if your XK8 is a 4.0 or a 4.2. Your 02 could be a 03 MY.

Assuming a 4.2, here's the description of the probable causes of FC 18. Sounds as though there's either a bad connection or a nipped wire shorting somewhere made during your installation.

Problem found passenger side airbag light is dead ordered new light should be good to go when it comes in

don't know what part number is I got it from jag dealer on line it was a cheap part about 30 dollars shipped
