Default Airbag code 15?

Does anybody know what airbag code 1 pause 5 "15" is? I've been searching the forums but can't find any information on it. The vehicle is a 2003 XK8.

Thanks!

The air bag codes are found in the FAQ Sticky above under 'air bag codes'. Unfortunately, a 15 is not listed, goes from 13 to 16. A search of JTIS OBDII codes for each year may produce the missing ones.

dang, that's a good air bag code document Bob, linking that directly to the FAQ on airbags!

seawind, you sure its 1-5, not 5-1...a sealt belt buckle sounds much more plausible (spilling of a drink into it) and cheaper to fix/replace than the restraint module. <--- yikes!

Thanks Bob! Just what I needed.

h20boy, Yes it's definitely 1 - 5 I've stared at it for to long now haha, I'm assuming the restraint control module and airbag control module are one in the same. The list price is $970 even with my discount it costs $770 and I can't find any on eBay or anywhere, bummer. Its part number c2n3057 it supersedes part c2n4285 I believe.

Have any idea on how much the dealer charges to flash one of these things?

I suggest inspecting for loose connectors, loose connector pins and damaged wiring before shelling out the big bucks for a replacement module.
