I have a 2002 XKR convertible and the previous owner glued, quite unsuccessfully, a growler badge to the center of the steering wheel airbag and it has finally fallen completely off. Whatever adhesive he used both failed to secure the badge and destroyed the finish of the airbag. It looks like total crap to me now. I've only got 47K on the odometer and other than normal aging from use, the car is in very good condition and this horrendous and embarrassing flaw is right in my face every time I drive the car. ARRRRGH. I want to replace the airbag but can't find one in good enough shape that is spec'd for an '02 XK. The XJ airbags on eBay of my car's vintage look like they are the same shape and size but I'm hesitant to buy one without confirmation that they're interchangeable with mine. Does anyone know if there are airbags from other models/years that are a direct replacement for my XKR's? Thanks, in advance far any help.
