Default Alternative window trim replacement.

The rubber window wiper strips on both sides are both in poor condition. Has anyone found a replacement from another car? Looking at a Honda civic 2011 model and they looked a good fit when shortened.
Cannot go to the scrap yard and say Jaguar as the price triples but could say Honda

I can't advise right now as I'm not at home. However, I can tell you that I'm very pleased with the black waist seals that I sourced from a 3dr Vauxhall/Opel Corsa for my 2002 XJ sport. They cost next to nothing, are plenty long enough for the saloon and in black (not Dorchester Grey on the XJ) already to match the sport window trim. I'll take a look and compare them with the ones on my 97 XK8 when I get home.
BTW, John Dee did a video on the waist seals for his XK8 on To The Garage. As I recall he had found a suitable alternative to OEM. Have you checked this out?

Default Corsa trims fitted to 90s Jags

Here's the Corsa items on my XJ8

Not quite a perfect fit yet, but with a bit of skill and more attention to detail, I reckon it's a fair solution.

And here, for comparison, is a spare, unmodified Corsa waist seal above the original items on my XK8. I've got to say, I did get some funny looks walking around the car park at Sainsbury's measuring window seals on various 3dr superminis!

I got mine from SBC vehicle dismantlers (I think they're in Glasgow judging from the phone number). I paid£60 for 4 back in September and dealt with a really helpful bloke called Gavin Reekie gavin.reekie@scbvehicledismantlers.co.uk. 0131 333 2062. At that time he said they had lots in stock. Good luck getting it sorted.

I guess so. The word is out now it would seem. FYI, I also discovered that 3dr fiesta and Clio items world probably work if that helps. You may also need to take a trip around the car park of your local supermarket of choice to consider options!

Well they came ..cleaned them up ..cut to length ..clicked into place nice and solid

BUT...the originals have a wiper that goes up the window ,these do not so while it looks fine and does a good job at "wiping" it dont look a match at the rear of the door ..( coupe) think it would be OK for a convertable.
Think I will sand and fill and re paint the originals and keep them for shows or resale

window frame matches the wiper on a coupe...
