Default Am I missing a piece of carpet?

In the trunk there are various bits of carpet, but the vertical rear piece (hiding the fuel tank) seems very loose along the top edge. There is basically nothing holding it in place.

My question is: is there supposed to be a piece of carpet suspended horizontally below the parcel shelf around where the sub sits? There seem to be stud holes in the painted metal and I'm wondering if the carpet fell out at some point and was discarded or lost by the previous owner.

Frog,

If you are - so am I.

Am I missing a piece of carpet?-xk8-boot-carpet.jpg

I think we can safely say 'no'.

My car only has the Vertical Panel behind the tank. The Sub Woofer is visible. Some cars also have a Cargo Net mounted in that area. My car dosen't have one though.

Thanks for your replies, guys. I guess this is going to have to be the solution:

Frog,

I've had a closer look at the carpet today.

Refering to the Parts Manual JPG in my earlier post, the rear carpet (3) is held in place by vertical grooves in the side sections (1) and (5). There's no glue / velcro / clips at the top and it's sufficiently rigid to be self-supporting.

This shows the mounting for a Cargo Net. The upper part of the Panel includes 2 mounting pegs that must be screwed into some metal "Brackets".

Note: This is a Convertible.

NO - the 'S' or 'V' models had almost all the available options fitted as standard but the nets are accessories.
