Default Brembo Brake Advice....Please!

I'm about to do my brakes....'06 XKR with Brembos....and am looking for some advice.

1. I'd like to find pads that generate less dust than the OEM's. I know that EBC makes them but I haven't found any other other suppliers for the Brembos. Any suggestions or advice?

2. Any one have any suggestions for a supplier of rotors...preferably drilled?

3. I replaced the brakes on my XK8. Other than having to beat the hell out of the rotors to get them off it was a pretty simple job. Are the Brembos any different? Any tips or suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Man, wish I could help you find pads for the Brembos, but the akebono euros that I recommend that are on mine (much less dust!) don't seem to be any for those bigger rotors. I recommended contacting customer support at akebono, but never heard anything else. They are fairly quick to return questions, at least when I contacted them.

As for rotors, i've purchased a set of dimpled/slotted rotors for the grand cherokee from brakeperformance.com, and have been excellent for the last 20k or so. They show sizes for your 06 xkr also.

Default Brembo Brakes

I had my Brembo brakes, rotors and pads, replaced on my 2005 XKR a couple months back. I purchased the rotors from Autohuas in AZ and the pads from Tirerack. I used Hawk pads and they have been excellent. The rotors have also been excellent. I had the work done by All Jaguar in Longwood, Florida and they did a super job. The cost for parts and labor was less than 1/2 what the dealer quoted. The old rotors are tough to get off the hub and a pre soak with WD40 makes the task much easier. If you have the job done by a good Jaguar tech it is really very straightforward.

I second the use of Hawk pads - I also got them from Tirerack, for my CTS-V, and got excellent service from them (+ 60k miles) with very minimal dusting. When I get new pads for my XKR, that is what I plan to use. Incidentally, almost any good Jaguar tech can do it for < than 1/2 what dealers want!
