Hello all! Could anyone advise/confirm if BREMBO brakes were fitted as standard to the last (2005) 'S' (LE) XK8's or were they an option? I know XKR's had them as standard but not sure about XK8. Thanks. Peter.

 

According to the brochure the Brembo brakes were only available on the XKR.

They would fit, so could be added to an XK8 if so desired.

 

Brembo was an extra cost option on the UK 'Final Series' XK8 4.2-S

My 2005 Final Series was fitted with Brembo - a Ŗ1574 + VAT option I certainly would not have paid for!

Got them om my 2002 reg xk8 4.2. but it was reg in september and does have the 2003 spec if that means any thing to any one .

2003 xk8 had the option for R package.
Does your steering wheel have an R badge in the middle?

If not then the brembos were fit afterwards

 

The OP specifically asked about 2005 Final series XK8 4.2-S and not earlier Model Years.
