Hi all,
2005 xk8 cab
Needs new compressor
Anyone have a specific brand/model they used that may be better than letting my Indy pick one out??
what would be an approx labor time/cost just to see if my guy is “ in line”……
Freon would then be additional $ cost besides part and labor… true??

Jaguar warranty time when I worked at the dealer was 1.3 Hours PLUS diagnostic time (.3) PLUS drive-in-drive-out (.1) for a total of 1.7 HOURS.
Customer pay was calculated by Industry Published LABOR TIME GUIDES but if an operation could not be found, we used WARRANTY TIME times time and a half.
(1.7 X 1.5 = 3.825)
I might charge 4+ hours depending on how much dirt/debris/age and rust is involved in the repair of a decades old car.
Mitchell, Chilton and All Data have many operations listed in their data bases/books.
