C1516 code on active damping system
2001 XKR. Autoenginuity shows an active daping (CATS) code C1516 - 5V short to battery.
I could not find any information about this code on JTIS.
Other than the code itself no noted problems. No CEL, no messages, the car is not in restricted performance. I have no way of knowing if the CATS is actually working.
Does anyone know what this means? Should I worry about it?

I have the same code on mine but it doesn't seem to affect the function of the system. Never been able to find anything close to 12V on the 5V part of the system, so I can't tell you what might cause it.
The only 12V in the CATS is the input power to the controller, all the rest of it is 5V, so all I can figure is there is something internal in the controller causing it.
With Autoenginuity you should be able to monitor the controller output to the CATS and also the accelerometer inputs to confirm that it's working.
When stopped all 4 shocks should be "firm" and when you start moving they should change to "soft" when you hit 5mph or so. And if you bounce the rear of the car by hand you should be able to see a signal on the vertical axis sensor.
