I have a 2001 xkr with an Alpine sound system.

I've taken her out of storage today and installed a new battery as the old one had run flat and was no good.

The sound system works fine with a CD but it will not tune into any radio FM stations with only static and I do get some MW and LW stations. Can anyone please advise?

Antenna cable at radio or in trunk.

 

my antenna cable plugs into the security and locking module. I did check and still connected.

 

You need to set the radio head unit to the Country/Region where you are.

To access the selectable features, simultaneously press the AM/FM button and the tape eject button.
preset #1 is the one to select Country/Region.

NOTE: You will need the RADIO CODE if you change the setting.(even US market cars)

TSB we got decades ago.

 

I tried that. Pressed number 1 and got message euro rds. Option is either euro rda or no rds

 

Look at all the settings to see if something is not correct?

 

the problem seems to have rectified itself. All of a sudden it's started to work.

Car was sat for months without battery and would imagine things needed time to kick in?
