when you do the hard reset i find that this works well. disconnect the battery, connect positive to ground solidly, turn ignition to run going all the way as if engaging the starter, leave the key as if it was running. 30 minutes later, turn to off and remove the key making sure that the little door in the key slot closes. during the half hour wait, load test or at least check the voltage of the battery, replace if necessary. clean connections, reconnect positive first then ground. turn ignition to on, wait until dash lights check completes, crank until start but not more than ten seconds. the engine will run fast and then settle, let it warm up and see if you can reset the windows.

note that if rain did this, you might want to check the compartment where the computer resides to see if it is flooding due to drains being plugged. there are two, the scuttle from the cowl to keep water from getting in and the lower front corner of the compartment to drain out anything that might get in there.
if the car runs at all but not well, set the parking brake, shift to drive (you must push the brake to exit park) then back to neutral and leave it there. it will make it easier to load the car onto a flat bed if it needs to be transported for repair. you can turn off the engine with the car in neutral.
