Cd changer plug in boot missing
Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can help me, my car came without a cd changer in the boot, so I bought a changer (genuine Jaguar part number LNC4160AA) and the cage to fit it in. However when I came to plug it in to the loom in the boot, to my horror someone had cut off the plug, so my problem is how can I wire this cd changer up, I have the main loom whitch is shielded, with a thin orange wire, a thin yellow wire, 2 x thin grey wires and a thickish grey wire. I have tried to get the plug and wire from several car breaker yards without any luck, so any ideas??
many thanks
John

Try this location. http://www.discountcarstereo.com/default.aspx I found them useful and informative in fact I purchased my ipod connection from them. I installed today and I am very pleased with the results and will be posting a how to on my page. Good Luck!
The wire count(5) and colors do not match the wiring diagrams I have for an XK8. They all show 8 wire connector and different colors. Send me a PM with your EMail addr. and year of your car. I can sent you the wiring diag. if you don't already have one. It is a PDF.
In that area you will find several plugs. One is for the CD and the other I think is for the phone. Could you looking at the phone wire? And the CD plug is pushed back in one of the openings?
Hi guys, many thanks for your replies, and I will follow up each one when I get the time, Just to say to Gus, I will look again but I think I do have the cd loom because the only other plug I can find is quite a large one with an odd pin configeration, I have no idea what it is for though. Thank you all again, John
