Default Cd player

Something new for me on my 2006 XKR, flipped on my remote cd carrier on my radio and nothing happened. The radio shows E-01 on the display. Although my guess is that it means the cd player does not work, does anyone know if it is any help in determining what to fix?

Usually a sharp rapping on the CD player with the rubber handle end of a screwdriver while pressing the eject button will be enough for the CD cartridge to release and eject.

Default Not the issue

The cartridge comes right out when i press the release in the trunk unit. None of the cds will play . Nothing happens when i switch the radio to cd except the sound from the radio stops and the screen says E-01.

Holding the EJECT button will sometimes cycle though the CDs if one is 'stuck'.
