Anyone have any ideas where can I get my hands on a gauge cluster based in KM?

 

You can change the fuel and trip functions to KM by using the button above and right of the steering wheel.

Not quite - I want the speedometer in KM, rather than MPH. I can't even seem to locate a part number...

for now I use an app on my phone and/or do the math

 

Here's the part number, but take care there are a lot of functions controlled through the pack.

 

You only need to change the dials, not the whole Instrument Cluster. Try Lockwood International:

They can also supply replacement dials in KMH.

You can also look up breakers in Europe, if you are not confident enough to change the face of the speedo. There are thousands of XK8s out there in pieces......Good Luck....Mike

 

Does your speedo not have the green inner ring of numbers in km/hr?

 

Yes it does, but I can't read them without my reading glasses, and with those on I can't see the road. Math is safer.

The main issue when changing dash board Speedo is gettingthe correct version for your car
As they are VIN dependent.
Plus they would needto be installed via Jaguars WDS / Mongoose dealer software. Or you could just change over the printed filmby lifting it off as long it’s the correct version with regards to the warning lampsposition.
Its takes a little bit of time bit it is doable

Another option would be to buy one of those gauges that plug into the OBD port and can show you speed, water temperature etc. There are even HUD versions that project onto the windscreen.

Here's where I am at:

-(I currently just add 50% to my speed mentally)
-A wireless OBDII scanner displays the speed for me on the phone on longer trips
-LNC4300FB - every place I search is sold out, or doesn't have one. The hunt continues.
-The dial fascias are promising...I'm confident I can make it work if I can find the right one....that's proving tricky.
