Chrome shifter surrounds
Hey guys,
Are these chrome surround pieces designed to be installed with screws, or are those fake cut-outs? If not is any drilling necessary? How about the switches?

They screw in, the switches are mounted from the underside with a bracket. If you want a good deal on one I have two differnt styles for sale that are in good condition, the factory one & also an Adamesh , both in polised aluminum.
I've seen some chrome pieces, the bracket is just a square piece underneath that I gather holds the switches. Does this square bracket hold the switches and cables snugly? And are there cut-outs ready in the plastic underneath for the screw threads to fasten in?

I installed one. Had to remove the brass metal hold downs for the plastic wood. Cleaned that all out. Detached the switches carefully and removed the shifter knob.
On the new chrome bezel I needed to remove the included bracket for switches completely. Placed the switches in their correct slots, and then slowly torqued down the bracket. Completely tightening these small screws will cause the switches to freeze and not move in their full travel, so I had to loosen the bracket until I could get them to fully click on and off.
The kit included a new key fob and 4 nice chrome air-valve screw caps for the wheels.
