Cigar lighter plug always on
2002 XK8. Not a problem, just a weird observation. The plug on my X308 comes on when key in the accessory position. I have a Bluetooth FM transmitter plugged into both cars. I figured it out on the XK8 the plug is always on because when walking by the XK8 with my AirPods in it would steal the Bluetooth signal. Can't figure why Jaguar would make two same years cars different.
I always say, “no picture, didn’t happen.” The yellow light is Bluetooth/FM transmitter.
Maybe I’m the only one. I can be like those Corvette guys who brag about 1 of 60 of thousands made (manual, metallic blue, black interior, alternative stitching and deluxe floor mats) 😀
Maybe a prior owner rewired.
Any chance the Bluetooth's plugged into an optional auxiliary socket in the glovebox? These are suppose to have constant power but the actual cigarette lighter I thought was supposed to only have power with the key on... Or at least my 97 goes works that way.
Or maybe a previous owner hated that and ran power over from the Aux plug connection hidden behind the glovebox over to the lighter...

I vote for a re-wiring job subsequent to the car leaving the factory by person or persons unknown.

Does the car radio also stay on with the ignition key off? If not then your cigar lighter has been rewired. You could always pull the official fuse (passenger side fuse box number 14) and see if it goes off.
