yesterday, I wanted to put top up on my 1998 xk8 because of unexpected rain storm.... pushing the button on the consul didn't work.. was relieved it wasn't green shower, and luckily, I just found out the day before that the top can be put up using the key in the door.

I suspect I may have faulty convt top button. How do I remove the button on the shift consul? do I have to remove the entire plate?
