Hi All,

I just finished replacing all the hoses and rams for the top of my 2000 XKR.
No leaks and I learned a lot about how to disassemble the interior of my car.

The problem is that the top goes up, but it will not latch shut. It gets within 1 inch of closing and stops.

If I latch it manually and press the switch to raise the rear windows, it unlatches.

I have raised and lowered it multiple times, reset the windows and did a hard reset. But the problem remains.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would also like to thank Redline for his suggestion on how to remove the tread finisher. It worked like a charm.

 

Check that the hoses have not been crossed in the change and that the header electrical plugs have been refitted correctly and are secure.

It was the electrical plug.
I reseated it and that is what it needed to complete that last inch and lock.
