My cross pipe was leaking coolant, so I replaced the cross pipe and also the water pump in my 2005XK84.2
Now I have a crank no start. I will attach some codes that came up mainly won’t communicate. these are the error codes that came up for my 2005 XK84.2
WDS and IDS have a function to read and clear the 37 frames of info in both A & B channels of saved data as well as reading START TIME RELIABILITY.
The application is in the SETUP and CONFIGURATION tab at the top of the screen.
I have no idea if other diagnostic devises are capable?
If P1582 is logged, the data is saved.
The ONLY way I know to clear P1582 is to access the data, then clear it.
P1582 is NOT a fault, just an indicator that data is stored.
I tried to find a document describing the feature but I do remember instruction on the procedure when it was introduced on the X100/X308 cars during a training session in the late 1990s.
I probably have a paper student guide with info but I have so many 3 ring binders of training classes, I would need to open the plastic tubs and 'reminisce'.
