Default Crankshaft Bolt Removal Tool - Loaner?

Just wanted to see if there's a Crankshaft Bolt Removal Tool floating around the forum. I need to borrow one if possible. This is the tool that holds the crank while you're trying to loosen the bolt at the pulley.

Years ago, when I was changing the secondary tensioners on another XK8, there was a loaner tool set floating around the Roadfly forum group. If you borrowed the set, you added some sort of tool as payment.

I would great appreciate it if you have one or know of one that can be borrowed. I can postage and a rental fee (if necessary).

Thanks!

I gave up using the special tool because it was always GONE from the toolroom.

The guy next to me at the Jag dealer used a 24" chain wrench with a part of a serp belt taped around the pulley, so I started using the same method.

A piece of pipe for added leverage and a 24" breakover bar with a 24mm socket and the same added pipe for leverage and I was removing and reinstalling the dampers with relative ease.

I used a length of 2 x 4 timber and drilled a half inch hole in it 4 inches back from one end then threaded a piece of half inch nylon rope through that hole and tied a knot in it for a bolt to be attached sideways. Then by putting the hole and rope to the right hand side under the pulley and holding the board about 2 inches down from the pulley proceeded to wind the rope around the pulley anti clockwise until the pulley(s) were full of rope. Then with a 15/16 -- 3/4 drive socket and about a 3 foot pipe on the bar proceeded to undo the bolt.At first the rope slack is taken up by the anticlockwise rotation until it finally jams solid and lets you undo the bolt. The timber has to be jammed against something, in my case the floor.Cheers XKR convertible owner
