differences between the 1999XK8 and 2000XKR
I have in my possession a new pair of nameless performance cats that were designed for a 2000 XKR. The guys at nameless presumed that the main difference was with the connection but could not go beyond that for fitment. So I did CAD drawings of the Arvin cat and the slip fit connection to help nameless help me. Thought they have the flanged connections VS the slip fit of the 1999 is there anything that changed with the engine to manifold to transmission in the tunnel that would cause this to happen.
If you look close you can see a red laser line follow it and you will see the 7 degree 14mm misalignment.
Were trying to work this out long distance.

I can tell you that the XK8 has the ZF transmission and the XKR has a Mercedes Transmission. i don't know if it would make a difference on the alignment.

Nameless now has available correct 200 cell cats for my car, 1999 xk8. They received a pair of donor cats to model. I'll be trying to get them on this week end. I'll advise the progress.
It has been more than two months since my last jag fix.

I think I remember that the exhaust manifolds between the cars were different. XK8 had a runner type exhaust manifold and the XKR had a log type exhaust manifold. This might be for the 4.2 cars though...
