Default Dip stick tube passing oil? Help please.

On my 2005 XKR x100, would it be normal for the dipstick tube o ring to pass oil if it wasn’t seated properly, albeit inside the location hole? The leak is not consistent with it coming from another source, eg sump pan, which received a new gasket and silicon rtv on outer when refitted. After gentle idling for a couple of minutes then leaving overnight, there is a puddle of oil under the dip stick side of the block and the looms etc in the vicinity are wet with oil.
I have fitted a new ‘o’ ring and the boroscope photos confirm it is now sitting inside the hole in the engine block but the leak persists. I have taken the sump pan off again in an attempt to resolve this issue. The dipstick protrudes 60 mm into the sump when fully inserted, below the top/roof. Put another way, the tiny hole indicating max level on the dip stick is in line with the top of the sump. If anyone has their engine apart, please confirm whether this is consistent with the tube being fully in.
FYI, there was no oil leak prior to replacing cam cover/tube.
Any advice for a desperate sole would be greatly appreciated ?

Poor picture but if you are able to enlarge, this confirms the o ring has entered the hole.

It sounds like your crankcase is too pressurized and blowing out anywhere it can . Are the full and part load breathers functioning properly ??

You mention replacing cam cover. Mine was done by a shop and a mystery oil leak appeared some time later. After trying for a very long time to trace it I found one of the cam covers over torqued, causing a very small leak appearing on the front of the oil pan and near the dipstick.

Thank you. Yes, I agree it is over pressuring. I am convinced I overfilled with oil originally because, with the dipstick tube not fully inserted back then, the dipstick was giving a false reading. Having drained off excess 0.5L, it still seems to be over pressurising. Didn’t have any blockage or problem before I commenced the work - cause and effect? Has the excess oil got somewhere it shouldn’t have and maybe still causing a problem?
Re: cam cover replacement- all bolts torque wrenched to correct value and no visible leaks up there.
