Default Don't be afraid of the road!

always kills me when I see posts about people not wanting to take 308 and 100s on the road. They were built for it and love it.
I took my vdp sc last year coast to coast and doing the same with my xkr. Loving every second of it.

Got a little warm climbing some mountains and even the fans at high speed weren't catching up. It was a hot, hot day with low air quality and a steep climb. I was watching it like a hawk.
she's loving it though!

Agreed. I bought my XKR for the primary purpose of road tripping, and though this year has put a dent in my plans, I'm still ready for it once things get closer to normal. Yours looks great on those XK8 wheels! And nice cameo from an X351 XJ in the background on the left... or is it a Camry? Hard to tell.

Thanks man! The dude who bought this car built it just the way he wanted it, and I'm happy he did. I wouldnt be surprised if he chose whatever wheel he wanted and it was honored, but those are 18x8.5 front and 18x9 rear with the staggered setup so probably specific to the R line. Dude who bought it new basically wanted a 100 without the 20's. Its got the R performance package on it.

definitely a Camry. Dude was puzzled by all the wild fire smoke like everyone else lol so I remembered who was next to me lol

This is the first year I have not been off the island due to the Covid restrictions. In the past I have travelled as far west as Niagara Ont. and FT.Wayne Indiana in the US. This year I have been going for shorter cruises around Nfld. These are the best GT cars I have ever experienced and IMO do great fuel economy on long runs.

Right? Put some 91-93 ethanol free in there and it almost makes you think it is full of crap how good the MPG is for a v8!

I have gone from St. John's Nfld to Halifax Nova Scotia on 4 tanks of gas. I did it "for fun" , cruised at 105/110 kph and used cruise control whenever possible
