Default Drivers Seat Electrical Problems

I have a problem with the driver seat that doesn't work. I have changed the switch, that burned, and removed the seat module. I have not managed to move the seat, in any direction. Tried with external power direct to the motors.
So, now I don't know what to do, it's tricky to remove the seat when you can't reach the rear bolt nuts. I have ckecked the fuse - there is only one to the seat I guess?

Any suggestions?

If you have checked the "LH seat ecu" fuse, now I would find your "steering column adjust switch/driver seat switchpack" fuse and check it. In my XJR it is labelled "column joystick/dr seat sw pack". Very likely culprit reading your circumstances. I don't have a schematic of your fuse boxes, but it should be labelled as I have written it out in one of the rear heelboard fuse boxes as shown on your fuse box cover in the boot. Good luck!

You say you removed the passenger seat module but did you install the driver seat module to test that?

Here is a link to the fuse panels charts for the XK8 which is significantly different than the XJ8/R.

Hi.

As far as I can see it is almost impossible to reach the bolts without moving the seat.
Fuses are in drivers side fascia fuse box:
F1 20Amp Drivers seat module.
F8 5Amp Drivers seat switchpack.
You will be able to see the numbers with a magnifying glass.

The most common problems are chafed wires underneath the seat, or broken tracks in the seat control module.
Tell me if you need pinouts for the connector, and I will see if I can find it.

Have you figured out the problem with your seat yet?
