first the dsc fault shows on the lcd then engine system failure then it goes into limp mode. i saw something about cleaning something and now cant find it

Sorry, its an xk8 2005 4.2 litre engine
It drives great until it warms up. It seems like it happens when slowing like coin around a corner or coming to a stop sign or just decrease speed

Hi I had the same trouble with my xf, and it was to low voltage on the battery ! Might want to check this out first it's less expensive !

it could also be related to the throttle body ! it can be dirty or the sensor can have a problem. but if you want to check it clean it fist it might just be that.

With any powertrain fault, the first action in troubleshooting is to get the codes read. Without that, the possible causes are speculation rather than diagnosis.
