Default Enjoying my XKR

Hi everyone, so after getting my XKR late last year I haven't really gotten chance to use it as much as I'd have liked due to bad weather and the fact it's due a mot/service in April and didn't really want to use it until I had it fully checked over!

However, thing's don't always go to plan so I've had to start using her more than I planned, not that I'm complaining because I absolutely love everything about it, the looks, the sound, the performance and especially the amount of people who stop and stare as you drive by :-)

Anyway as you can tell I love this car and can't wait to get a few more miles under my belt as it's my first serious car ha ha

Thanks for looking

Grant

It is nice to hear about the positive experiences. These cars are meant to be used and enjoyed.

May you have a great deal more happy motoring.

I've also treated her to a wash n polish today, took a few photos of my work but cannot upload them at the minute! I assume that's because I'm a new member but I'll get them uploaded as soon as I can.

Grant,

There's a few restriction until you reach a minimum 10 posts but you can attach photos to posts straightaway.

1. beneath the Quick Reply dialogue box, click on Go Advanced button

2. enter post text and then click on the Attachments button (arrowed in red here):

Enjoying my XKR-grant-1.jpg

3. in the dialogue box that opens, click on the Browse button (arrowed in red here) and navigate to the photo on your PC or enter the URL in the box if you use OnLine storage:

Enjoying my XKR-grant-2.jpg

4. click on the Upload button (arrowed in blue) and wait until the file uploads to the forum.

5. repeat steps 3 and 4 for further photos

Note the file size limits for various formats listed in the dialogue box.

Graham

Grant and Graham, we should organise a meet. I see you are both in Durham, which is where I got my degree

Yeah I'm all for meeting up with fellow xk owners Frog, it would be nice to see other people's car's and get a some advice on different things like exhaust's, side repeater's etc.

Then you'll certainly recognise this location:

Do you get back up this way very often?

Graham

Broken link, Graham...

I was up in Durham last October on the way back from my engine Terraclean. Just had half an hour to look round my college and the language department at Elvet Riverside and realise how old I looked compared to the current students

How did you find the whole terraclean experience Frog? I've been thinking about getting it done but wasn't sure if it was worth it or even if I need it doing to my car!

Graham: oh yes, I recognise the cathedral alright. I remember receiving a blessing there as a fresher and then having to process through the town looking a complete fool in my undergraduate gown

Wakey: on balance, it's probably worth doing, but not vital. My engine 'felt' cleaner after the treatment and fuel consumption has dropped about 10%. I had it done at the UK importer's head office in Gateshead.
