Fault lights
Over the last year or so I have had fault lights come on, and off for ABS and the other for traction control, I have been to the dealer twice, they find nothing wrong, they reset the faults and charged me for the diagnosis, and then weeks or months later they reappear, and then go off again, and then on, is there a device I can buy to turn them off myself, saw a device at Costco, that they say will do so for all cars made after 1986....I'am tired of spending money at the dealer. thanks Mike
All you need is an OBD II reader available at any auto parts store. Many stores will read your codes for you free so you can see how it is done. Many will no longer reset them for you.
A $50 one will probably be all you need to read and reset codes. Easy to use.

I saw your post and was going to Costco and thought I would check it out. Well I got one! Great price but have not tested it. If it works it is a great tool to have.
also the year should be from 1996 & newer

Well I just tested it in my 99 xk8 and it works! It gave me the what is it P1000!!!!! So I would say it is worth the $35.00, however, if you live on the west coast a questionable at $90.00.
I was at Costco yesterday and this is their number for the unit they sell here in OrEgone...421480 and this unit sells for $89. Same unit as you have?
Nothing listed. I did find the unit on amazon.com for $29. Not sure if this is the same $89 unit costco is selling here on the left coast.
