Fitting a Parrot Asteroid device to my XKR
Make sure the MUTE function is enabled as follows:
Enter setup mode as follows:
-Press the TAPE EJECT and AM/FM buttons simultaneously.
-Now press PRESET 4 button repeatedly until 'TEL ON' shows
-After 15 seconds the display should clear and hopefully the mute will now work.
Mute can be tested by grounding the mute pin.

I tried what you said but the phone func was already on.
Also I noticed my aerial doesn't work and also nothing on the satnav screen.
Any ideas, all fuses in the boot are ok

Rocky,
Did you succeed? I started looking at this six years ago with help from White XKR and StevePaa (who very kindly gave me a connector to join the RT connectors in the boot together). Unforturnately, my Radio Telephone (RT..) connectors were corroded and not usable, with blown fuses etc. After a six year delay, I've got them operational and the phone bit of the puzzle works for me - plug and play with a Nokia CK300..
To connect to the 10 pin connector under the armrest I used "Autoleads Cellular Interface Lead PC6-101", which makes the telephony bit more simple. I'm using
JAG-CDR Auxiliary Jack, Changer retention Kit for Select Jaguar XJ and XK :: iPod Adapters & Interfaces to create an Aux connection or relay of stereo output to the factory system, either wired or via bluetooth adaptor.

Hi
Many thanks
I did actually succeed with this project. The problem I had was a very simple one but yet very fustrating.
I had to purchase a spare head unit to eliminate it and then coming to remove my original one I discovered that the yellow connector was not fully plugged into the radio.
It was such a simple problem I created from being careful and once plugged in all the way everything started working.
Thanks for asking
