Default Flashers won't turn off? - RESOLVED

Used my flashers for the first time while checking for directions on a recent drive. Touched button, held button, hit button and the flashers won't turn off. Got back to the house did a hard reset and reconnected the battery flashers still on. WTF.....

Ideas?

Had the same thing happen to me while driving my wife's XK8 years ago. I remember having to fiddle with the switch for quite some time before I achieved the correct angle and motion to turn it off. Wish I could remember exactly what it took. I would keep working that switch, trying different tugs and directions....

Resolved.... found an old post that said to slip a credit card in the slot of the switch. Sprayed a shot of contact clear in the slot and presto! flashers went out. Is nothing easy? That's why I hit as few switches as possible!
