Greetings members. There is probably a wealth of information on this topic on this forum but since I must make a certain amount of qualifying posts in order to be able to download any of the service manuals, etc. I figure I would burn a post asking this:

The front passenger side seat belt assembly has exploded while on the watch of the PO and only the internal metal vestiges remain. The entire exterior plastic outer shell components are MIA.Can new exterior components be purchased and mated to the internals that remain or does the entire assembly have to be removed from the car and replaced in its entirety? If so does the entire passenger seat have to be removed first? Thanks.

 

I am not sure which element your considering replacing. Removing the seat will simplify any work you need to do. The removal is fairly easy to accomplish.

Thanks for the reply and good info, Vern.I have to wait to get my 10 posts as a newbie in order to access those referenced manuals but will do as soon as I can.
