Hi Everyone, perhaps this has happen to you...while filling up today...the black "Nut?" broke away
from the body...causing the door the remain open...How can I fix...is this something to be fixed from
the trunk? or do I have to go to the problem from the outside...I will note, I have seem the nut on line...
Thanks in advance for any help and assistance.

 

Get a Magnet!!
We had this happen last week and should still be on the Forum...There's even a photo.....Greatest FIX I've ever seen...………...

That part is readily available and cheap to boot. The magnet fix is cool if you choose to go that route.

the answer is:......Thanks Graham! I didn't like it a first but now that I have gotten used to it and watch for it....It's OK! I remember answering a question that some Guy back in 2010 had asked.....after I realized what I had done, I felt like a dummy but that's nothing new! It's kind'a fun going back to see what was happening to our X-100's in the mid to early teens....some things don't change! I was driving my newer 2005 XKR back then and I guess if I had known about the Forums, I could have learned a bunch more about it back then...……...
