Where is the fuel pump fuse located on a 1999 Jaguar XK8 coupe? I need to pull that fuse so I can prime the engine with oil after a tensioner replacement job by spinning the starter.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Pull the fuel injection fuse instead..residual system pressure can cause a brief start otherwise. It is #5 in the Engine Managment fusebox (US Passenger side, under hood, next to windshield, in ECU compartment...NOT the fusebox under the hood on US driver's side).Originally Posted by jimmiejag

I usually 'jump' the starter relay (30/87 or 3/5) so the key is not turned 'ON" with a fuse or relay unplugged causing a DTC in a module.
If you can read and clear a DTC with a 'scanner' then pulling fuses and cranking with the key is OK.

OR, you can just turn the car over after you put the cam covers on but before you install the coils... it worked fine for me.
AND, I also pre-primed the tensioners by putting oil into the "holes" while squeezing the tensioners a couple of times.
