Got her out for a spin, YEY!
After 6 weeks of collecting dust, I finally got my beauty for a spin.
We had some snow here on and off, but I caught fairly nice day and was able to get $80 alignment from local shop
Even though she ran fairly straight before, HUGE difference after they got all four wheels to agree. They said left rear is .1 degree off in camber, which is supposedly almost noting.
Here is some pics of my beauty and the neighbor's beast...

I drove Viper that day for a few miles and it felt brutal, noisy and very stiff. After Viper my XKR felt like riding in Mercedes sedan
MK2 is not in restoration, body is all dine, but still bare...
Don't say that
Comfortable and purposeful works better

I have NO difficulty deciding which one is the beauty and which one is the beast. Give me the slightly evil black elegance of the Jaguar any time!
I agree with driving a viper, its fun for about 10 minutes, then you realize the speed is there so you don't have to wait as long in discomfort. Every crack, every bump is a jolt...needless to say you should never try to sip a coffee or soft drink while moving in a viper.
That said, I want an early first gen Viper. A '91 through '95, before they temporarily ditched the side pipes and added actual side windows. Sure the later ones sound better, have more power, and are much easier to live with, but the very early ones are so raw, they are oh so right. Just look at that poor excuse for a roof and those side curtains. I love it.
Maybe something like this: Dodge : Viper Dodge : Viper | eBay
I even like the three spoke wheels that scream '90s. I usually hate three spoke wheels, but they work on the Viper.

MM;
I read this as "Got her out of a spin" and then when I saw you were in college I was looking for the punch line about the girl friend "got her out ...."
No jealousy here....my college cars were a dark blue 420 and a '59 red XK150 in the late 70's that would still run with everything on the road.
You are on the right track ....just follow your buddies Viper and the police won't even notice you.
There was a great Bill Cosby line about how he must have police in his trunk and I am sure your buddy feels the same way.
enjoy and fly low,
jj
