Default Hazard lights - RESOLVED

98 XK8 Recently acquired vehicle, finding hazard lights are blinking, as they should, BUT, I can't get them to go off. Pressing the button doesn't work. Button seems to not move. Thanks for help. steve

Steve, sounds like the button is stuck. I've read many posts about fog light buttons not working properly. Fiddling around on off on off sometimes clears them.

I bet you tried that though. Looks like you are new here, welcome. I'm going to run a search for you. Be right back.

From previous posts: Looks like it's probably mechanical. Use a pair of credit cards to wedge under button and pull out.

Could be weak return spring. If you can't fix, pull the fuse so battery doesn't drain.

Let us know how you do.

Parker I wouldn't be surprised. After I answered above, I must have run across 3 more discussions about this. Apparently it happens a lot.

Welcome to the forum Steve,

As suggested in earlier replies, the button will just be sticking.

Just FYI, here's the most recent thread which addresses some more permanent repair ideas...
