I noticed that I had fluid in my overhead console yesterday so I cleaned the mess and opened the petcock for now.
2 questions for all:
1. my fluid is amber/gold color. Everyone is talking about green shower?? is this the same and can they be mixed when refilling?
2.I am assuming my top 2 hoses need replacing and some owners bought 4 hoses?
yet top hydraulics sell a kit of 6/ $600 or 2top/ $250 or 2Right/ $250 or 2Left/$250
Wisdom tell me to replace all 6, but just wanted to know which are the ones likely to fail?

 

Do not mix the hydraulic fluid. Get all traces of your original fluid out of your vehicle's system and replace it with fresh Pentosin CHF 11S (which is green)....

Regarding hydraulic hose failure, they are all subject to breakdown given their current age. Take a look at the condition of your hoses where they enter the pump. Chances are that all of them will have flaking and peeling insulation....

 

Yes, I realize that all my hoses and fluid are originals and am planning to replace all 6 and flush the pump.
does anyone knows what is this loose wires are for?
